The Salt Path, Rewarding Walks.

The Salt Path is a long-distance hiking route along the Wadden Sea coast of Northern Netherlands, passing through the provinces of Groningen and Friesland. The route follows old dikes, marshes, and terps, allowing hikers to experience the unique landscape of the Wadden Sea with wide views, sea birds, and historic villages. Along the way, you'll encounter churches, mounds, and small harbors that remind visitors of centuries of life with the sea. The Salt Path combines nature, culture, and history, showing how people in this area have always lived together with salty water.

Stage 14 starts from Eastrum, a few kilometers away from Ee. If you take the time to deviate slightly from the route and visit Ee, you will experience the atmosphere of an authentic terp village. The Terp is a protected village scene, and a visit to the church and the Omgong will transport you back in time.
